These list of 20 fun things to do at home with kids is perfect for all ages. We are sharing activities, crafts and DIY projects that will help keep your kids entertained and busy!

20 Fun Kids to do With Kids at Home

I feel like I am always trying to come up with fun and inexpensive ways to keep my kids busy while we are stuck in the house. There is nothing worse than bored kids. Can I get an AMEN, Mamas? I put together this list of 20 fun things to do with kids at home to help us out. This list is full of preschool age activities to do at home as well as crafts, DIYs and stem activities for elementary and older kids as well. All of these projects for kids can be done with simple and inexpensive items from around the house!

Activities for Preschoolers to do At Home

Activities for Preschoolers and Toddlers

BUBBLE ACTIVITIES- what preschooler doesn’t love bubbles! There are some many fun activities on this list from Making Motherhood Matter. With a bottle of bubbles or even homemade bubbles you can stay busy all day!

HOMEMADE MOON SAND– Does your kiddo love sand but it is too messy for you? This Homemade Moon Sand Recipe from The Imagination Tree is what you need.

DIY PUPPETS- My kids LOVE making their own puppets. Here is a great tutorial from Laly Mom so you can make your own. Aren’t they just the cutest!

SNOW VOLCANO ACTIVITY- What is more fun than science? Science that explodes! This Snow Volcano Experiment from Messy Little Monster looks awesome. We will be doing it soon!

DIY POM POM MONSTERS- Pom poms are a fun craft item that we always have in the house. These Pom Pom Monsters from Oh My Creative are adorable. Kids would have a blast making these.

TISSUE PAPER SUN CATCHER- If you are like me, you have tissue paper laying around the house. Take inspiration from Fireflies and Mudpies and make these beautiful Tissue Paper Sun Catchers with your little ones.

TISSUE PAPER CRAFTS- Here are some more tissue paper crafts that can keep your kids busy for hours. One Crazy Mom has put together an excellent list.

PAPER PLATE CRAFTS- Inner Child Fun has put together a fun list of crafts you can make using none other than paper plates. These crafts are all super easy and perfect for toddlers and preschool kiddos.

MESS FREE TRUCK/CAR PAINTING- This activity may be one of my faves! Check out this fun way for kids to paint using toy trucks and cars. The best part, it’s mess free! This genius idea came from Happy Toddler Play Time.

DESIGN A MAZE-  Using a paper plate, straws and other items around the house your kids can create a super fun maze. This stem project by Raising Life Long Learners is educational and fun. your kids have to really think about how they will create their maze to make it work best. They can then have others try to complete it.

Hi Channing. Believe it or not, I have been collecting and bookmarking sites that give out activities for kids because I am about to go insane. My little kiddo has been extra grumpy lately because it has been so long since he last went out. Thanks for sharing this.

Instagram post 17850899390014309 Disney is challenging us to share our first pictures with characters! I had to join in the fun and it was the best trip down memory lane. Disney has been threaded throughout my entire life. I pulled a few of my most favorite memories over the years. From partying in the streets during the most epic dance party and meeting our most favorite princesses to me being a kid at Disney myself. Oh, I also had to add a picture of Cinderella’s Castle. She really is the most beautiful cast member of them all!
@waltdisneyworld we miss you more and more each day. You’ve brought us joy beyond words and we cannot wait for the day when we get to walk down Main Street USA again!
