Welcome To The Motherhood

Welcome To The Motherhood

This last week as I was browsing the internet (#igetmynewsfromfacebook) I came across an article about Chrissy Teigen (anybody else obsessed) and her husband getting out to dinner just weeks after their precious daughter was born. I thought to myself "Good for them" while waiting for the page to load and then to my horror realized it was a post SHAMING her for daring to go out and leave her daughter with someone else.  I sat staring at my screen thinking surely this article was just some kind of SEO/click bait and that no one in their right mind was actually judging this poor woman for going to dinner with her husband. Not that they don't love meals as well, but I'm pretty sure that my boys are actually hobbits and expect first breakfast, second breakfast, snacks in between, and dessert. Every. Single. Day. They're not even hungry all of the time. Eating is less of a necessity for them than it is a hobby. They sometimes just sit there and play with their food. So basically what I'm saying is I have almost two year old hobbyist hobbits ... READ MORE >>

DIY Sensory Table

In just a few short weeks the kiddos will be out for summer vacation. I have been racking my mom brain to try and think of ways to keep us busy this summer. We keep the calendar full of play dates and beach days and VBS etc. but I also like to make sure I have some things on hand at home to cure the "I'm bored" blues.  One thing I know is always a sure bet is a sensory table. You can change them up weekly with water, sand, water beads, scissors and paper, and so much more so I thought that Tanner Manor needed a sensory table to add to our summer fun. Problem is that sensory tables are kind of pricey. The local teacher supply ... READ MORE >>

Inside Out Reese’s Poke Cake

It has been a festive week around our parts ! Yesterday we celebrated my husbands 37th birthday. This man is the peanut butter to my chocolate and we are so blessed to call him ours. With our schedules being insane we decided to run to dinner after all of our activities but I still had to do something to make him feel special. The key to this mans heart is sweets but more specifically chocolate peanut butter cups. The girls and I decided to create something of our own and what we came up with is one of the most amazing desserts I have ever eaten in my life, an Inside Out Reese's Poke Cake! You guys this cake is moist, ... READ MORE >>

Instagram post 17850899390014309 Disney is challenging us to share our first pictures with characters! I had to join in the fun and it was the best trip down memory lane. Disney has been threaded throughout my entire life. I pulled a few of my most favorite memories over the years. From partying in the streets during the most epic dance party and meeting our most favorite princesses to me being a kid at Disney myself. Oh, I also had to add a picture of Cinderella’s Castle. She really is the most beautiful cast member of them all!
