5 Tips for the Mom Who Wants to Go Back to School

I always knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. I vividly remember my kindergarten teacher walking around and making a list with our classmates names and who/what we wanted to be. I think my friend next to me insisted on being George Jetson, I hope his dreams came true. For me, it was always a teacher. It was almost as if there was never any other option. I knew I wanted to be a teacher and I knew it was what I was supposed to do. I went to school for a few years after high school like so many others, life got in the way. Babies and babies and another baby! I found myself in the trenches of motherhood and my dream of going back to ... READ MORE >>

Tales Of A Twin Mom: Four Lessons I Learned In Four Years

Four eyes. Four hands.  Four Feet.  And now FOUR YEARS OLD.  Four years ago, God blessed me with two perfect little men and made me a twin mama.  And for four years I have watched these sweet boys grow and learn and laugh and play.  Don't let those sweet smiles and baby blue eyes fool you though. These boys have kept mama on her toes the last four year. I have learned a lot of things in my short time of being a twin mama but these four things are the stand outs from over the years to help you thrive as a twin mama.  Don't Blink. Yes, time passes quickly and they grow up ... The World’s Best Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

We had a cold front hit us last week. For a couple of hours one day our temps actually dropped to the high 60's, teased us for a bit and then went straight back to boiling hot. Houston weather, it's just so lovely... Even though we only got a small glimpse of fall feeling weather it still made me want to rush home and make a giant pot of The World's Best Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup. This recipe is one that I got from on of my closest friends which she got passed down to her from her grandmother. You guys, I have seriously never had a chicken noodle soup that is as perfect as this one.  It's packed with all things that make a chicken ... READ MORE >>

My Epic Mom Fail and Why I’m Not The Perfect American Housewife

My Epic Mom Fail and Why I’m Not The Perfect American Housewife

This blog post is part of a paid Megan Media and ABC blogging program. The opinions and ideas expressed here are my own. Growing up, I always longed for the days of getting married and starting a family. I had the typical teenage girl #AmericanHousewife dreams of being super mom. I would get married around 30, I would be married to a total hottie (obvi), and we would live in the perfect house in the suburbs with our perfect kids and our perfect dog and I would make the world’s best chocolate chip cookies. Fast forward 15+ years, and I am now a thirtysomething year-old housewife who really only nailed the marrying a hottie part of that ... READ MORE >>

Instagram post 17850899390014309 Disney is challenging us to share our first pictures with characters! I had to join in the fun and it was the best trip down memory lane. Disney has been threaded throughout my entire life. I pulled a few of my most favorite memories over the years. From partying in the streets during the most epic dance party and meeting our most favorite princesses to me being a kid at Disney myself. Oh, I also had to add a picture of Cinderella’s Castle. She really is the most beautiful cast member of them all!
