Perform On Pinterest Workshop Recap

Last weekend we had the honor along with our friend Meg, to host over 40 of Houston's top bloggers and influencers for our Perform On Pinterest Workshop.  We spent months prepping and planning, and with the help of all of our amazing sponsors, we think we pulled off a really amazing and successful event.  The workshop was comprised of 3 main events....the actual hands on workshop at Hotel Sorella, our afternoon break and blogger party with Kendra Scott City Centre, and our after party with Vallone's Steakhouse.  We started the day by welcoming all of our amazing influencers into our conference room that was ... Kid Chores: Setting the Table

One thing I love about summer it's almost like a giant reset button. It's the time of the year when life (kind of) slows down and we can get our lives organized again and implement new ideas into our daily lives. During the summer we always have a Summer Chore Chart for our kids with different tasks based on their age and ability. The idea is that the girls have to complete their chart for the day before they can move on to watching TV or aggravating their sisters. With not having a lot of structure during the summer having something easy like this for them to follow helps! One thing I have found is that my little ones are great at ... READ MORE >>

Tropical Party Pack

Tropical Party Pack

It's summer time, which has always given me the travel bug. But being new parents, my husband and I are only dreaming of all the tropical vacations that await once our babe gets a bit older. If you're like us, you might not be able to jet off to the tropics, but you can definitely bring the island to you! Summer is always full of cookouts, bonfires, and my favorite...themed parties. So, of course, I had to create a tropical themed party pack.    Motherhood is using one hand and accomplishing a full day of work within a two hour nap time, so I made the assembly of these invitations and party ... Top 10 Books For Your Summer Getaway

My family and I are 2 weeks away from our beach vacation. I can almost hear the ocean air calling my name. First up on my bucket list is to dive into a book (or two) while soaking up some sun. Obviously with a tasty beverage in hand and my toes in the sand.  These are some of the Top 10 Books For Your Summer Getaway that are high up on my must read list.    1.) The Vacationers An irresistible, deftly observed novel from the New York Times-bestselling author of Modern Lovers, coming Summer 2016— about the secrets, joys, and jealousies that rise to the surface over the course of an American family’s two-week ... 5 Ways to Incorporate God Into the Lives of Your Children

5 Ways to Incorporate God Into the Lives of Your Children

Growing up God wasn’t a big part of my life. I didn’t grow up in a Christian family, I grew up in quite the opposite actually. God wasn’t talked about much and He just wasn’t a part of our life. I didn’t really get to experience who Christ was until I was almost out of the house, and even then some of the views presented were skewed.  God seemed to present a bunch of rules and the desire to control my life, and I just couldn’t figure out who would want to live life like that. It wasn’t until college that God really intervened and began to show me who He really was. I finally saw glimpses of who He was and His desire for my life. I ... READ MORE >>

Instagram post 17850899390014309 Disney is challenging us to share our first pictures with characters! I had to join in the fun and it was the best trip down memory lane. Disney has been threaded throughout my entire life. I pulled a few of my most favorite memories over the years. From partying in the streets during the most epic dance party and meeting our most favorite princesses to me being a kid at Disney myself. Oh, I also had to add a picture of Cinderella’s Castle. She really is the most beautiful cast member of them all!
