So while we are on the topic of Valentine’s Day, let’s take some time to talk about lovin’ on your honey with a little Valentine’s Day Countdown for your spouse.
It’s no secret that I am a HUGE advocate for building up your spouse, and what better way to do that than with a little countdown full of love notes. It should go without saying, but this could be done anytime of year, not just Valentine’s day. But in the spirit of the day of love, and keeping with the Vday theme we have going on this week, I bring you this….
There is really no rhyme or reason as to how to set this up. I wanted even rows, so technically there are 15 little pockets instead of 14, but you can take whatever creative license you need to make it your own.
This project was easy and affordable. I collected all of these items at Hobby Lobby for half off so I spent a total of $6 and completed it in under an hour.
Then I got to writing. This part was fun to include special little jokes and favorite quotes or lyrics of songs we love. You could change it up and write up love coupons instead of love notes or leave a daily prayer for your spouse. The possibilities are endless.
Once the love notes are written, find a place in your home where you want to hang them. I chose to put them in cute little pockets and hang them by my husband’s nightstand. Again, you could pick anywhere. Maybe you want to make a game of it and instead of hanging the envelopes, you hide one daily for your spouse to find. You could pack them in their lunch, leave them in their car. Once again, possibilities….endless.
This is something that I had a lot of fun putting together, and I think I am going to try and do more often. Perhaps next time I will try leaving them in his truck or somewhere he can find them away from our home. Could be a nice little pick me up when he is spending long hours in class or at the hospital.
What are some ways you like to love on your spouse? Do you ever write love notes?
