A Busy Moms Guide to Staying Healthy

I shared with you all last week my struggle with my heart and I cannot begin to tell you what all of your love, support and prayers have meant to me. I am still in the process of figuring out what our plan will be to get this Momma back to normal but I am confident that it will happen. In the meantime between test and more test, raising kids, and now working part-time I have made it my ultimate goal to improve my overall health. I still have baby weight to lose, I don't get enough sleep and the days of eating what is convenient have to end. But like all of you moms out there I am BUSY. It's insane the amount of stuff we jam into our ... READ MORE >>

A Lazy Moms Guide To Beauty

A Lazy Moms Guide To Beauty

The fact that I just typed the words "guide to beauty" into a blog title has me cracking up. Clearly I am losing it folks. Although I did nail the whole lazy thing. So much so, that my beauty routine consists of the 1 minute face. It's not so much that I don't have time for a 5 minute face, becuase I am sure I could squeeze it in. I am just lazy. Simple as that. I spend my days wiping up spilled sippy cups and having tea parties with 500 of my closest stuffed friends. I live for these days, but let's face it, there isn't much of a glam factor involved. My one minute face consists of the following: PONDS LUMINOUS ... READ MORE >>

A Letter To My High School Self

A Letter To My High School Self

Dear Michelle, So when you get a letter from your future self, you are probably gonna freak, because, well that is just what we do. Wish I could tell you that you outgrow your irrational fears, but it only gets worse after kids. Yes, kids....we will get to that another time. Right now it's time we have a little chat to help you make the most out of your teenage years. Listen up young lady, because these things are important. First and foremost, YOU ARE NOT FAT. Stop comparing yourself to other girls at school and stop with all the ridiculous "diets". Fat free yoplait, a handful of animal crackers and a diet coke does not a well ... READ MORE >>

From the Heart

From the Heart

(Seriously, how pitiful can you get? And dramatic yes, I know this is dramatic.) I sat down to write. My idea was to try and come up with something witty, something to make you laugh but unfortunately right now I just don't have it in me. These past few days have been hard for me and to be honest fearful. You see I have what is called Postpartum Cardiomyopathy. This is not something I was recently diagnosed with I have actually been living with it for over 8 years now. That idea alone is one I have not processed. For those of your wondering, postpartum cardiomyopathy is basically pregnancy induced hear failure. It is a very rare condition ... READ MORE >>

Favorite Toddler Apps

Last week while we prepared to head out of town for our beach trip, I spent a lot of time washing and folding clothes and packing our suitcases. I made sure we had snacks for the car, enough clothes for the week and everything in order for our neighbor who was puppy sitting our dog. BUT my most important task while vacation prepping, was making sure we had enough entertainment for the kiddos for our NINE HOUR car ride. Not sure if you have ever taken a long car ride with four children, really any child for that matter, but it can be a challenge to keep the "are we there yet"  and boredom at bay. Our minivan has a DVD player, but ... READ MORE >>

Instagram post 17850899390014309 Disney is challenging us to share our first pictures with characters! I had to join in the fun and it was the best trip down memory lane. Disney has been threaded throughout my entire life. I pulled a few of my most favorite memories over the years. From partying in the streets during the most epic dance party and meeting our most favorite princesses to me being a kid at Disney myself. Oh, I also had to add a picture of Cinderella’s Castle. She really is the most beautiful cast member of them all!
