Welcoming a Sibling: When Big Sister Misses Mommy

Welcoming a Sibling: When Big Sister Misses Mommy

I don't think I'll ever forget that moment. I was sitting on the couch, exhausted and nursing Ella for what felt like the millionth time that morning, when Abbie came over to me, gave me a hug, and said: "Mommy, I miss you." Cue my heart breaking in a million pieces. She'd been home with me every day for three days, but I had spent most days tending to Ella and not her. I hadn't been able to actually BE with her. There had been no puzzles or coloring, no playing with bubbles outside, no time sitting on the floor of her room playing with her dollhouse. There I was, exhausted from taking care of Ella around the clock. I missed ... READ MORE >>

Hot Chocolate: On A Stick

Hot Chocolate: On A Stick

We are already  into December and have been sweating our patooties off but we finally, finally got to experience some cold weather around our parts! We live in Houston, the land of weather with multiple personalities. I am telling you, we can go from shorts and flip flops to being snow bunnies within minutes! Nothing makes you feel adequate as a mother like sending your kids to school on shorts and then the weather dropping like 20 degrees by the time you pick them up and your little ones nearly freezing to death. This may or may not have happened to me someone I know..#momfail. Needless to say we ended our day like this and now I ... READ MORE >>

Our 2016 Christmas Card With Tiny Prints

Our 2016 Christmas Card With Tiny Prints

There are about a zillion reasons on why I love Christmas as much as I do, but one of the reasons I love this time of year is CHRISTMAS CARDS!!  I love checking my mailbox each day and finding cards from friends and family from all over. Weather it be people we talk do daily, or friends and family we don't get to see as often, I love getting the cards and displaying them in our home and seeing all the people I love in that tiny 5x7 form.  I know as mamas, Christmas cards can be a bit of a thorn in our sides. Trying to get our kids and husbands to pose in a photo that somewhat makes it look like we all love each other? ... READ MORE >>

Easy DIY Christmas Ornament Garland

Easy DIY Christmas Ornament Garland

Confession. I am not crafty. Like, not at all. I feel like that's a requirement of a blogger. Sadly, no...but I do love a good glue gun! But sometimes I come up with crazy ideas apparently called crafting and I set crazy plans in motion. Probably the biggest "craft project" I've ever taken on was my ornament garland for my Christmas tree. I thought to myself it would be so easy, take a little bit of time and in the long run cheaper. I'll pre-warn you, probably not the cheaper alternative.  Was it worth the time, energy and many hours of watching Gone with the Wind and Hallmark Channel Christmas ... READ MORE >>

Free Chalkboard Christmas Printables

Christmas is sneaking up on us, friends! It's happening whether we are are ready for it or not! Last week I thought I was ready. We pulled all of our Christmas decorations out and started going through them. You know how it goes..."oh this is cute!", "what was I thinking when I bought that?", "where did you find that, I have been looking for it for years?" Every. Single. Christmas we do this. We open up our neatly packed boxes, pulling all of our goodies out and start to deck the halls. One problem though this year....we completely forgot that we threw out our fake tree last year! Here we are getting ready to glitter the place up, the ... READ MORE >>

Instagram post 17850899390014309 Disney is challenging us to share our first pictures with characters! I had to join in the fun and it was the best trip down memory lane. Disney has been threaded throughout my entire life. I pulled a few of my most favorite memories over the years. From partying in the streets during the most epic dance party and meeting our most favorite princesses to me being a kid at Disney myself. Oh, I also had to add a picture of Cinderella’s Castle. She really is the most beautiful cast member of them all!
@waltdisneyworld we miss you more and more each day. You’ve brought us joy beyond words and we cannot wait for the day when we get to walk down Main Street USA again!
Ok, now it’s your turn. Find your old photos of your favorite Disney characters and share the magic. Also, don’t forget to tag me. I want to see all your memories too!
