2016 Goals

2016 Goals

Only 2 days left of 2015, and like most people I have been taking time to reflect on the past year. 2015 was pretty good. Don't get me wrong, it was hard, and there were some big lows, but good always wins and the high parts are what I choose to reflect on moving into the new year.  Channing shared the other day her tips on keeping your resolutions, and while I normally like making myself a list of resolutions or goals, this year I don't really plan to.  My dear friend Angela used to choose a word for the year. She always had a word as her mantra for the year and a verse to accompany it. This year I really wanted to ... READ MORE >>

How to Make New Years Resolutions and Keep Them

Can you believe it? Another year in the books, friends. I look back on this year and take a huge sigh of relief. This year was full of struggles and heart ache, fun and excitement, joy and many many blessings. I say this every year but this year just flew by and now we have another one is at our heels. I love the idea of a new year. A brand new start. A time to reflect. And a time to set goals for the year ahead. One of my resolutions for the new year is to work on being more consistent. Being more consistent as a wife and mother, in taking care of myself, in blogging and most importantly consistency in spending time in God's ... READ MORE >>

To each of you that take the time to read and comment and share our posts, we thank you! You make this ... READ MORE >>

Heavenly Hash Christmas Fluff Dessert

December 18, 2015 By Channing Leave a Comment

Heavenly Hash Christmas Fluff Dessert

Heavenly hash, this dessert fills my childhood Christmases. My memories growing up and spending Christmas's with my grandparents revolve around making and eating this deliciousness. Heavenly hash is an old old recipe passed down from my greats from their greats and my grandmother passed it on to me. On Christmas Eve I would go to my her house specifically to help my grandfather with the whipping cream for this dessert. We would make it from scratch testing as often as we could to make sure we added enough sugar. Sugar and whipping cream were everywhere. It was the best! For some reason, since my grandfather passed a few years ago ... READ MORE >>

12 Dates Of Christmas

12 Dates Of Christmas

It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and become overwhelmed and stressed. Generally when those things happen it's easy to let things fall by the wayside, and sometimes that includes your marriage. Making time for your marriage during the holiday season can be difficult with school performances, and finals and company parties etc, but it is so important to make the time and really connect. My husband and I like to do something we call the 12 Dates of Christmas and really the dates can be up to you. You could do more, or less. They can be grand or simple. They can involve going out or they can ... READ MORE >>

Instagram post 17850899390014309 Disney is challenging us to share our first pictures with characters! I had to join in the fun and it was the best trip down memory lane. Disney has been threaded throughout my entire life. I pulled a few of my most favorite memories over the years. From partying in the streets during the most epic dance party and meeting our most favorite princesses to me being a kid at Disney myself. Oh, I also had to add a picture of Cinderella’s Castle. She really is the most beautiful cast member of them all!
